Mucha Muchacha Jewelry on Late Night TV!

I was hanging out the other night watching the Chelsea Lately show when my friend suddenly shakes me and says "Your jewelry is on TV. This comedian is wearing YOUR jewelry!" I looked up and he was right. Comedian Michelle Biloon was sporting MY JEWELRY! How awesome is that? It was a definite bonus that it was on Chelsea's show as I'm a big fan and that a funny sarcastic chick was sporting it made it even better. Thanks Michelle!

The Succulent Scene

I put this succulent setup together when I made terrariums last January. To make one of your very own all you need is:

A clear glass planter, pebbles, succulent plants, cactus mix/potting soil, charcoal bits (found aquarium supplies), and some decorations of your choice.

1. Thoroughly wash and dry your planter.

2. Since these types of planters have no drainage we need to keep the water sweet. Here's where you spread out a layer of charcoal bits at the bottom of your planter.

3. Spread layer of your choice of pebbles.

4. Spread a layer of your cactus mix/potting soil.

5. Install your plants.

6. Install your decorations!

7. Follow watering directions for your plants and enjoy!!

Day if the Dead 2008~ Self Help Graphics and Art

Waiting for nightfall!
The stage
My hubby manning the Mucha Muchacha booth!
This dude rocked this DIY altar costume. Incredible!

The Self Help Graphics and Art events are always a great time but the Day of the Dead event is THE event at this art center. Art lovers from all over come to see live bands, eat, and see art! This free event has a strong art community vibe and I dig it.

Day of the Dead 2008~Hollywood Forever Cemetery

If you've never been to the Day of the Dead event at Hollywood Forever Cemetery it's something you must experience! There are dancers, craft and art vendors, food and music among the graves after dark. Artists from all over come to the cemetery and create altars in hope of winning the contest. The altars alone are worth coming out for!
